One of the major things that make Raptors hold there value so well, is how rare they are. To put it in perspective, Ford built roughly 500,000 F-150's per year. Of that, only 21,000 were Raptors. Or about 4% of them. To even further drive up the price, of the 21,000 built, 3,000 of those were SCAB's versus SCREW's. Roughly the same numbers can be applied to a 70 Hemi Cuda. I love my truck and plan on driving it until I can't drive anymore, but in thirty years, I still plan on still having it, but imagine the classic truck value it will hopefully hold. Also, the Gen I Raptors made the Haggerty's instant collectible list.

Value will drop depending on price.

If the Gen 3 comes out even more expensive than the G2 due to more power, tech, suspension etc then the Gen 1 probably won't take a hit.

If a fully loaded Gen 2 is ~72k and a Gen 3 is now ~84k then I can't see the 40k market Gen 1(13-14) taking a huge hit.

Unless the gen 3 is an SVT Gen 1 prices aren't going down. Even then they aren't taking a big hit, styling will be different, tech will be different. I don't believe the Gen 1 is holding it's value based solely on it "being a V8".

SVT = special
Trim package = Just another f150 with a lift.

There will be no V8, but most probably coil-overs. This is from someone very well connected at Ford.
