A photo of 2 work truck mods. A bed mat and a new tool box. I will be putting a riser under the box to bring it up to just under bed rail level to make it easier to get stuff out. I special ordered the box so it would have 2 latch handles, one on each side to also make it easier to get in. I sometimes have a topper on the truck and it has side opening windows. I want to be able to get stuff without climbing in the bed.

Looks nice...yeah getting stuff out the back can. Be. PITA sometimes...

Is that your trailer hitch? Why the drop? What do you tow behind the Truck?

Nice to be able to lock up tools and valuables in the bed. I've been thinking about a bolt-in lock box that is low profile enough to fit under a bed cover

This box is 6" below the bed rail now. When I put the riser under it, it'll still be low enough that I can put a cover on if I want one later.

The dropped hitch puts the ball at the same level as the F250 I had!! I needed 4" more drop so that the trailers tow flat. It's a 6" drop. I have had to extend both wiring and safety chains.

All the stuff now under the back seat will go in the box. Jumper cables, a real jack, X lug nut wrench, chain, a couple of packing blankets, and a couple of cans of flat-fix. The only thing staying inside is the fire extinguisher. Maybe now my gun case will fit easier!!
