If sound is the #1 criteria you look for when choosing an engine than maybe they skimped on the Gen2?? If you choose an engine for HP, Torque and way more low end Torque than they skimped on the Jen1.

Skimped on the Gen1? You make it sound like there is a 200hp difference. The best thing going for the Gen2 is certainly not the engine, but the transmission. The tranny in the Gen1 sucks. I'll admit that. And yes, Ford skimped on the engine for Gen2. I'm not alone in that sentiment.

Yes they did skimp on the Gen1... You could get the same exact 6.2 engine in a 2014 XLT and above trim level.
The HO Ecoboost is exclusive to the Gen2 Raptor.
