From the factory I know the fuses are 30,30,15,10. Would the fuse box get mad at me if I put a larger fuse in the hole for switch 4? Rigid says use a 15A fuse for a set of d2 diffused flush mounts..I want them on switch 4 tho. It shouldn't complain about a larger fuse should it? Sorry I know it's a newb question about wiring

Thanks

Sean

You can put a slightly larger fuse in but ultimately the wiring will be the weak point. That being said, you can get away with running 15a thru the Aux 4 wiring. I wouldn't try anything bigger though.

Putting a larger fuse where it does not belong results in the possibility of drawing to much current through the small gauge wire. Now the fuse will be the wire and as it gets hot it could cause a fire. Its not critical to me in your truck, but you may feel different. Stick to the fuses it says to use and you don't have to worry about it then... But like I said its your truck do what makes sense to you...

Awesome! Thanks so much. I got all my lights in. My truck is in the shop right now...went off a cliff after not even having it 2weeks...beauty behind it all is that it will be brand new again with a full paint job! Wasn't a huge silver fan but it was the only one we could get our hands on. It's gonna be gecko green! (2012 jeep jk color) when I get it back...the 40" and driving duallies will be on switches one and two. The amber front duallies will be on 3. And my reverse d2's on switch 4. Thanks again!

Or just wire it for the proper amp. I was going to suggest switching the wires but sounds like your useing them all.

Thank You BIRDMAN for the great instructions!!!

Finally wired up my Whipple HD Heat Exchanger with Fans to the relay using forth up-lifter switch (Aux 4)(10 amp.)(brown wire).
And used the purple pass through wire.

I can now turn them off when the salt is down on the roads and it's freezing out, I won't need the fans on anyway.
