Thanks. I just try to help out whenever and however I can.

I’ve got a ton of recovery gear, although my go-to for quick pulls is my Rhino USA recovery tow strap. They’re made in the USA and rated to pull over 31,000 lbs. Stay away from the Harbor Freight straps. They are junk.

I’ve got a shackle hitch receiver, but I only use that if it’s a straight shot pull. Otherwise I’m using one of the corner recovery points.

That day, I was in 4L, locked rear on my MPT 91 tow tune.
I'm going to order a Rhino now. Should I get 20 or 30 foot?

I'm in Fort Collins. That was quite a blizzard.

I personally would go for the 30’. If you are stuck or if someone else is stuck that you are helping, you want to make sure you’ve got enough length. Better to have the extra than not enough.

Rhino USA Straps are NOT...I repeat,NOT made in USA....Biggest scam ever, using the USA angle and "father & son" from CA. to sell them..I just received mine a couple days ago and tag clearly stated MADE IN CHINA.....shame on them..!!! I cant say if its good or cheap shit like Harbor Freight, but if it wasnt such a hassle to return it I would....but for $40,its good insurance. Its the "ADVERTISING" scam that ****** me off..

You are right, like most straps, they are made in China or Taiwan, but designed in USA. I can tell you from experience, though, that these straps are awesome. I've used mine about a dozen times now and it's held up great and has never let me down.

To echo what WRCRaptor said, if you want to shell out some serious bucks (3-4x the price), you can spend the coin for a Bubba Rope. They are a great option if money is no object.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Bubba Rope a snatch and the Rhino we are talking about a tow rope?

Correct. I do have a tow strap as well, very good warn stuff not sure where they were made but one warn 2” x 30’ strap is well used. I have a 3” x 30’ that has never been used. LOL!

The Buba is very nice and it takes all the harshness out of a difficult pull.

Back to tires my KO2s work well almost all of the time except ice. Still very drivable but the Nokian is the choice for that. No studs allowed here in MI.

I've only had issues with the stock KO2's on ice but snow hasn't been an issue and we get plenty of it up in here in NWPA/UPNY. I slid down a mountain access road in Port Alleghany, PA last week on an icy section but that was my fault, not the truck or tires. The next road outside of Coudersport, PA was deep mud and the tires did their job, no issues.

When it's time for new tires I'm going with DuraTracs.

The bfgs aren’t bad. They just suck in the snow. Anyone who disagrees drives slow or has no experience.
