I'm sure Ford has considered this, but they need to walk a fine line here. Meet the demand of customers who truly want the truck, but not keep a huge number of them on the lot.

We all picked the Raptor because in our lives, it's not where you go, but how you got there. If suddenly everyone started driving Raptors like Priuses, we would prolly search for something else to drive...

Sounds like something a Prius owner would say.... LOL

Sounds like something someone who bought a vehicle for the prestige instead of for what a beautiful piece of machinery that it is, would say......

I don't care if 10 of my neighbors bought one, this is one bad ass ************ of a truck, and I'll own mine till I'm dead or it is dead. Anyone who says otherwise, just doesn't
get "it", and should probably start looking into selling and getting something else.

If anything it will help stop dealers from gouging people
Good luck with that!

I don't care if 10 of my neighbors bought one,

I could only wish that 10 of my neighbors bought 1.

With Ford upping production it might make Chevy and Dodge seriously look into building something to compete with and I believe that would be a good thing regardless of how bad ass this truck is stock, it would force Ford to look at what they are doing and up their game even more.

If Ford does in fact come out with a 2016 Raptor this model will decline in value, but, how many guys will be trying to sell theirs next summer

I love the current gen of truck, I think modding it is more appealing then selling it for a newer model if one comes out.

i dont think it will lose value. with new government fuel economy regulations starting in (2014? 2015? ) the big v8 motors will be gone. the raptor will continue to keep its value.

Even with a smaller engine, the weight reduction that Ford is going to accomplish with aluminum will make the new Raptor (if they build it) a very exciting successor.

think of it this way. if the 6.2 v8 raptor is no more, and the next gen raptor is a v6 ecoboost, which would you rather have? i think the original raptor will always retain its value.
