You're probably right.... BUT Ford has EB 4 bangers and EB V6's no reason why there can't be an EB V8... A 4.0 TT V8 sounds pretty sweet to me.

While I have no idea if Ford would consider a TT V8, the above sounds like a winning approach to me. It stays within Fords Ecoboost future, it bumps up power and torque from the current level significantly, and it delivers a V8 sound for those that have to have that. And it delivers the relatively good fuel economy (if you can keep your foot out of the turbos) of the smaller displacement motor. The TRX will have what, 575 HP? You should be able to get into that region with a small TT V8 pretty easy. The GM 4.2L TT V8 for the Cadillac CT6 V is in the 550 HP / 626 lbs/ft region. Yes, that is only supposed to be a Cad motor, but I could see something like that making its way into GM trucks. If so it might be nice for Ford to have an answer.
