Will Ford up the ante after the Rebel’s TRX launch?

Think you also have to keep in mind that the non-supercharged V8 truck will probably start over 65k and the supercharged truck will probably start at 85k, so realistically probably looking at 75k and 95k when optioned up. This is taking the grand cherokee prices as reference, with 68k and 85k MSRPs respectively for the STR8 and trackhawk variants

Reliability questions aside, would largely depend if the rest of the package is up to ***** as well. Does it actually have good enough brakes for that much power - I'd say in the current raptor the brakes can already be overtaxed as is.

I'd say the current brakes kind of suck. Not really sure how much better they can be though with a 17" wheel. Not a whole lot of room back there for larger setup.

Competition is always good, so we'll see how this turns out. Couple things from their site:

With specially designed suede seats that cling to cloth, the distinctive six-point Racing Harness for every passenger and the paddle shifter to keep you in control, the TRX will be specially designed to keep the entire crowd planted and in comfort.

These would be big negatives for me.

1) On any given long road trip, my passengers would hate having to deal with a harness instead of normal seat belts. (I'm assuming the harness wouldn't have an alternative single point configuration.)

2) "Suede that clings to cloth" sounds like it would be a very odd feeling for passengers that want to slightly shift positions in their seats.

Definitely not production spec. Racing harnesses are not DOT approved and cannot even be included in passenger cars. Ford GT and Demon come with mounting points for easy retrofit, but not the harnesses. All vehicles need the standard 3-point passenger belts to make them street legal.

just my observation

Concept was 575.

Release will be 707.

37s and 3.0” Fox suspension doesn’t sound like street oriented.

Thats what was in the initial concept but I suspect the production version is going to be much different once they try to figure out how to engineer a 707 hp off road production vehicle without anything breaking. Street trucks should be easier given they've got the Trackhawk to go off

Forfeit a deposit? That's not how that works. If you don't get the car/truck you get your deposit back.

I don't know how it was worded in the agreement but he told me the buyer signed paperwork that once they put the money down and signed the agreement that the customer forfeited the deposit if they didn't take the car.

I don't know if it still holds true but here in PA it used to be that if we worded the bill of sale as "partial payment" it could be forfeited.

I've heard the Alcon brakes are great and definitely fit under a 17" wheel, but sure are pricey (as are most BBKs though). I'm probably unlikely to buy any performance upgrades, but if I did Alcons and Deavers would be first on the list
