This may sound odd to you but best tire for the beach is the Nitto TG's slacked down to 25 lbs.

Does anyone know if the 325 will fit the 2011 crew cab Raptor without compromising the handling, drive, or rubbing ?

Thanks Jimmy

Nitto Terra Grappler 325-70-17
Height: 35" Width: 13.12"

Stock:

Height: 34.4" Width: 12.7"
"

So height wise it will be .30" closer to the fender.

Width wise it will be .21" extra on each side.

If I recall correctly the best chance for rubbing is on the inside because a lot of guys(including myself) have gone with lower offset wheels which makes the tires stick out more and there's been no rubbing. the best thing you can do is to go outside and take a few measurements with the wheels turned each direction to the steering stops.

Thanks Birdman !
the only problem is I ordered my truck in mid sept and the dealer will buy the stock tires from me and will order the Nittos under the stipulation that the stock tires are brand new so Ill never have the chance to measure it.
any advice ?

i would post a thread asking one of our fantastic members to take a few measurements for you. i would but i don't have stock wheels so my measurements won't be accurate.

also, I don't know if you already saw this thread but according to pirate air 35" x 12.5" is about all you can do without rubbing offroad. i would suspect that the larger tires would fit without rubbing on road...but offroad is where the dreams happen :D

i would honestly suggest staying with a 315 70 17 tire and from what I understand the TG's aren't great tires. they look cool and perform well in the soft stuff but apparently road noise and tire life is an issue. SVT put the BFGs on the Raptors for a reason and reduced on-road noise was one of them. there's no reason IMO to cheapen the ride for some slightly wider tires.

Fair enough and practical advice taken. Ill stick with stock
Thanks

For what its worth, I've got the 35x12.50x17 General Grabbers on Methods and the only time I've ever rubbed was landing a jump in the desert that I went a too big on. I got full compression at impact and my right front tire bashed the plastic fender wall and knocked it loose. That is the only time I've experienced rubbing of any kind whatsoever.

I blame myself for that rub, not the configuration.
As I said, I went too big.... probably hit the jump at 60mph with 3 other people on board and landed HARD. Everything is fine, but I need to replace that plastic in the wheelwell. I'm willing to bet the same thing would've happened with stock tires/wheels on that particular landing though. Bojangles always has to learn his limits the hard way. :)

I like the general tire, since you have had them for awhile, how would you rate them on road?
