Why so many low milage Gen2 trucks for sale?

Only 139 used 2017 Raptors listed on Autotrader out of 25,000 produced. I'm actually surprised the number is so low.

Idk if these trucks are trade ins from actual owners or from dealer employees. But every one is priced higher than original new msrp considering options/configs

I see 3 low mileage 2017s for sale locally and it makes me wonder why they are being sold/traded with such low mileage?

Could be the owners' cars.

This...dealers probably kept these, depreciated them, now trying to sell. But hell, they're at MSRP for a used vehicle.

I had a dealer try to sell me a Raptor that the GM ( or sales manager) drove around for a few thousand miles. Must be a perk.

Something else to keep in mind here...

Many of the comments/reasons are right on target. But one other likely factor is expectations (especially in Texas) regarding load capacity and TOWING.

Many buyers chasing the latest, greatest, most awesome truck (or car) around don't know the first thing about them and don't know what it can/can't do or how it will perform for their use.

I'll bet there are a number of people who were disappointed the Raptor can't haul or tow like their diesels. I'll bet some of them traded their Raptors in on new Super Duty trucks, etc.

Especially in Texas
