Does anyone have a picture of how the white piece of foam in the front driver fender is supposed to be positioned? When i removed the front fender it fell on the floor so i didnt see where it was in there. I think it is supposed to be behind the intake?? Also do you all re-seal the other foam that has to be cut to remove the fender when reinstalling the fender? Thanks!!

I've had my fenders off numerous times and never saw a piece of white foam. I've had Fiberwerx and currently have Boatecs and didn't worry about replacing the spray foam.

Just my $.02.....

Thanks for the reply RubyRed. I didnt re-seal the foam in the fenders but i think im going to try and fit that foam block back in there. I need to find some fender flare clips that are broke before i finish the job though.

I don't have pics, but it needs to be directly above the wheel. It separates the space into 2 chambers, cold air in the front section, which enters the engine intake. Then, the rear section allows hot air from the engine compartment to escape through the side vent.

As long as you get it in there snug, you should be good. Like Jon said some guys don't even have them, and there are even guys who have extended the intake tube along the inside of the fender to pull air in through that side vent/intake.

I ended up putting my splash guard back in loose and then just positioning that foam piece till it looked like it fit in place through the splash guard and headlight hole with the fender installed. I think its just meant to help with air flow into the intake or something. I know a lot of guys with glass fenders dont put them in. I didnt take any pics of mine to put on here because i didnt know if it was correct, but it seems like it was closer up to the intake.

This is an old thread, but I really appreciate the information/photo.
I was completely puzzled after it fell out while replacing my lower sparkplugs.
