@Johnpappy

How far have you gotten to fixing you issue?

I've thinking about your issue the past couple of days, and I remember I few things I and other have come across.

1) is were a hose can kink shut if it's too long, check post:
https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/p0446-code.43809/#post-1042975

2) I had a problem with the Canister Purge Valve leaking and was letting unmetered air into the intake.
Mine wasn't the hose but the valve it's self.

Also I don't know your exact Whipple setup but there are Bypass Valve alternatives depending on the setup you have.
For this, you need to contact Whipple.

I’m still in the evaluation stage. The truck is not my daily and I don’t have as much spare time as I would like to mess with it. However I did drive it a few hundred miles yesterday. It ran really nice with none of the symptoms. And yet last week it ran like crap.

I found your reference to the Canister Purge Valve interesting. I occasionally throw a slow (small) leak code associated with it. The exact code # escapes me. I inspected the lines this morning and all look good with no obvious kinks or restrictions. I will continue to evaluate and may throw a new valve in when it acts up again.

Unrelated to the above issue, I found an electrical connection buried under the coolant expansion tank. Figured out that it went to the hood latch switch! My remote start is now working again. Sure am glad to have that back! So thanks for getting me back under the hood to find it

The guy said the hose gets very soft when hot and that's when he noticed it was collapsing.
The canister purge valve is around $80

LOL, keep us updated!!!

Give us a call, I'm willing to be the issue is related to the tuning. If you suspect a vacuum leak just the fuel trims. If you have a stage 2 kit, it's the Whipple throttle body. They are beautiful to look at but difficult to get the drive ability right with them. Most of our customers who switched from Whipple's tune to ours said it fixed throttle and drive ability issues they had.

The whipple tune seriously blows.

do NOT mail order tune on a vehicle that wasn’t factory forced induction. How did that email whipple tune work out??

have it dyno tuned local to you. email tunes are “best guess tunes”
Yea they can work. But for what your paying...... you are absolutely not getting everything for the money. Tuning your truck on the dyno is the smart money.
Not what “should work” on your truck

I dont totally agree with that. If you shop at a reputable shop and do your homework and also have a proven way to get the email tune into your truck... I think an emailed tune is well worth the money.
I do agree nothing beats a true dyno tune but not everyone is close enough to travel to the speed shop to have it done.

Customer service is key also for adjustments if your not happy with the performance.

I’m having some similar sounding issues with my 2013 whipple raptor I just got a month and a half ago. I’ve done all sorts of repairs to it hoping to fix it and so far It’s only partly better. It also stalls out often and I got a “tune” from the original tuner but he wasn’t helpful at all and said he doesn’t work on supercharged raptors anymore because they have so many problems. I’m assuming I have a tuning issue, in conjunction with a few other things I found. My bypass valve had a brass fitting in it that seems to restrict airflow but no hose hooked up. I since hooked up a vacuum hose to it and still have that brass piece in it, I tried it in and out and didn’t notice much difference. With it hooked up I can actually hear the supercharger now so obviously that wasn’t right to have missing vacuum. I’m just trying to eliminate as much as possible because I had several issues with my car previously and spent thousands on tuning because of it. The truck also searches for idle almost constantly

You shouldn't be having these issues, have done any data logging with Whipple?

It does sound as if you have unmetered air entering the system,
pinched vacuum hose, vacuum hose not installed correctly or bad or lazy front O2 sensors.

Yup, do you have the install instructions?
At least you can see if stuff was installed correctly.
If you need it you can PM me with an email address and I'll send it to you.

Do you have the SCT handheld device and a copy of the Tune?
