MetroNYC's truck has the Gen.3 compressor, 65mm Ford Racing TB, 80 lbs. injectors and Headers.
That is the same you have now, right?

The GT 500 is a 60mm TB, it's too small and wouldn't work with the Tune (they built for MetroNYC) you wanted from JDM.

Actually you can interchange the GT500 twin 60 and CJ twin 65mm with our tunes. It's just going to limit or improve power depending which of them you swap. Aftermarket units like the Whipple throttle body are inconsistent and often cause tuning issues which is why we only use the Ford units.

Rocket,

I haven't heard from you in a while, since about the time we spoke regarding your Whipple making noise and the possibility it may be causing the problems. I never resorted to saying that was it and we weren't going to help going forward. You decided to go elsewhere. We are still willing and eager to help.

Now for the fact of hundreds of Whipple Supercharged Raptors run our tune with out these issues I'm having a hard time seeing it being the tune. These days everyone wants to say its the tune. But fact of the matter 95% of the time there is a mechanical issue. We aren't there with the truck so it is difficult to diagnose but we've answered your calls and emails and tried our best to do so.

Give us a call again we will be happy to do datalogging or further trouble shoot your issue.

Thanks!

you def answered everyone of my calls and told me to do the same thing everytime. you said re-load the tune after I did that it was "your TB is leaking" it gets old when all I asked from the very first call was please check the tune I think the speed is off and with the new TB shouldn't we use a different tune. not sure if you remember when I bought the tune and injectors I didn't know there was a bigger TB until after I installed and told you it was low on power you then told me to buy the bigger TB and I did. after that you shut me out and blamed shit on me.
I am not here to bash you one bit I just think you left me hanging. after the Whipple got back from warranty work the problem never went away I replayed all the times I called you guys and it was a dead end every time I figured I will find someone else to tune it. still have not found anyone lol. if you say what the truck dies from I will address it tomorrow but I'm done re-loading the tune and the TB is perfect any other suggestions I will gladly try.
I didn't mention to you as this happened after but a buddy said a few weeks ago my truck smelled like it was rich. there were no idiot lights so I figured him crazy. soon after on starts I get a back fire not super crazy but still a back fire I have no clue why but could that be built up gas? I would think these computers are to smart for that but I dont know shit.

if your saying now you will read the data log and adjust hell yes I will I have only wanted that from the start.
I will email you right now

If the issue was there with the Whipple tune, and there with our tune, do you think someone else will be able to fix it? No one tunes more Whipple Raptors than us and Whipple! That being the case we still strongly feel there is a mechanical issue but you can datalog the fuel trims and send them to us. We never stopped you from doing that, We did not leave you hanging, you left us hanging! The reasons we are so adamant it's not the tune because we have hundreds of other trucks running around with out any issue. Your problems are indicative of a vacuum leak but it could be something else. So when you get the fuel trims looked over email me back and let me know. I sent you an instructional video on how to record the fuel trims and AF so we can check.

I got the email thanks
Just for the record whipple issue would shut truck off not AC it was fixed by drilling holes in TB that issue never came back after with them
With your set up the AC seats shut off and once in a while the truck.

Would I hear a vaccume leak? If so prob no leak but we will find out for sure later thank you

Trim levels all 4 were from .97 to 1.09 just driving it might have went higher or lower when I wasn’t looking but I need to know how you want me to drive or not drive when recording?
AF was 14.1

What are normal FT and AF numbers anyone????
MT what are your numbers?

Hi every body , I don't know what you argue about , I just can say that I'm extremely happy with with the JDM tuning , I did my stage 3 Whipple 1 year ago with upgraded injectors and custom tune . since then I do not have any issues whats so ever with the way how the truck is performing and idling , I use the truck for off road events all year around . I will recommend to reload updated tune and also to check vacuum lines ,spark plugs and wires and check for vacuum leaks under the blower intercooler . just my 2 cents .

No one is arguing over anything ? Someone asked about surging with his whipple we gave our 2cents and then we got side tracked but no one is arguing for once.
Glad your truck is running good what are your FTs reading or AF?

Sounds like unmetered air , causing the stalling. A friend of mine had stalling issues on his truck and the hose clamps were loose after the MAF to throttlebody he drove like that for a year . He Only had issues at idle and coming to a stoplight or making a turn. Took 2 min to fix . If this were my truck new plugs ,coils and wires . brand new MAF. New oxygen sensors before cats. That way you know your fuel trims are accurate and then you can troubleshoot more from there. Old oxygen sensors can skew your fuel trims .

I had a lot of problems with surging for the longest time. Took forever to figure out it was just a bad throttle body.
