Has anyone tried using a JB4 on top of the Whipple Stage 1? I’ve heard some are doing that with the Ford Performance tune.
That’s a terrible idea. Where did you see someone advocating for that?

I spoke with Burger Tuning and they would need a data log but said they would have to llower boost so it’s not so aggressive. Also, I read it somewhere here in the forums of people doing that with the ford performance tune

Others have done it and liked results with FP tune and map 2 from burger. I was pleasantly surprised how much the FP tune improved the daily driving feel of the truck. It actually feels quick in sport and not a conplete dog in normal. So with only 15k miles on my 23 I decided to just stick with the FP tune.

That makes sense. I am so tempted to do the Whipple tune, and eventually I think I will once I get some miles on the truck, but I think I am just going to sit back and relax for a while. I really feel that at some point someone will be able to get the current ecu unlocked. I've watched this play out over the years on cars, gaming devices, cell phones, ect. Someone always figures it out. Could take years.

Apollo Off Road has confirmed several customers stacking the FP tune and JB4 piggyback with good results. You essentially get more boost from the JB4, and the transmission tuning from the FP tune

True. But doesn’t more boost require more fuel? I don’t think burger can adjust that on a piggyback. Could be wrong.

Just installed last night. Definitely can feel the added torque above 3k rpm. Not mind blowing but it’s certainly quicker. 50hp faster? Maybe. The best part is the shifting. Oh wow it is soooo much better now. Shifts like butter. Can barely tell up or down it’s that good. Lets the rpms climb higher before up shifts and no more awful, harsh downshifts. It’s a crime we have to pay for a tune to get it to perform as it should from the factory but I do not regret it. It’s that much better IMO and is without a doubt less taxing on the engine and transmission.

So you're running the tune alone? No CAI / intercooler?
