When I shift to 4x4 high, there is a audible whining sound that almost sounds like a vacuum leak or other issue. I went to my dealer and spoke with the Head Mechanic who told me that "this is a characteristic of the Raptor - I know of 3 others that are doing this"

Take the significant other out when you 4x4?!?!

On a more serious note, I notice a slight gear whine in 4x4 but everything operates normally. If there is one thing the Raptor is not, that would be quiet. Every damn thing on this truck can make noise, but it's no biggie.

Engine - Check
Suspension - Check
Air Conditioner - Check
4x4 - Check

Mine has always had noise, no different at 30k miles now.
The whine in 4LO at higher speeds concerned me, but the tech's couldn't find anything wrong.
