I know
I’m more for function over looks.
I know how excited everyone is, and I am too.
So I will show you a little sneak peek of some early photos.
As far as when they start shipping... my goal is by the end of the month. I really want to make that happen and that's a little over 3 weeks...
So, as far as why it's taking a little bit of time. Other than getting the other A-Pillar, OEM Fog Upgrade Mounts, and lower bumper light bar brackets designed and into production, it's because we want them to be right and versatile up front.
You probably know that we don't just throw something out there with a single hole in it. We want to design the mount slots with precision so that you can mount a Baja set of lights where they line up and look perfect... At the same time, if you have a Rigid set, they have a different size case.. so we want those to look perfect. And the same for Diode Dynamics.
So getting not only the mount locations for one in there, but also for the other models.
Then, there was the question of hanging them upside down from the top like the Gen 2's or not. The issue with that is that the names "Baja" and "RIGID" are upside down unless you rotate the case or buy another set of top side mount brackets.
So we wanted to try to mount them from the bottom to solve that if possible.
Then comes the fitment for those that want to have just 2, and space them out a little. With that, we wanted to give the option of an add on panel to close out the open pocket. We want this to be an optional add on. So even if you get a bracket set without now... You can add the panels later. You don't need to replace anything.
Another thing we wanted to make happen was to be able to re-use the back cover on the wheel well side. This way, for those who want to cover their lights, you don't need to buy another piece.
Then there is the cost of making the brackets. While we want them to be as versatile as possible, the more bends, angles and complexities that there are, the more it costs. So its a bit of a balancing act to get the best mounting locations on the truck, as well as retain all the adjustment and functionality.
So all those things come into play in creating the best bracket you will find for this new Gen Raptor. That's our goal!!
Se here are a few pics to hold you over. More to come....
Now, keep in mind, we started with Rigid because they have the biggest case. These will work for all the others as well and you will have front to back adjustment as well as side to side. So for those who want to bring the lights outside the bumper a little, se the inner 2 are... you can. For those who want to bring them back more.. you can.
Also, keep in mind with photos of optical distortion.
In other words. When you stand back 6-10 feet, you can clearly see all the glass/lens on each light and one does not obstruct the other.
However, if you get close and take a photo... from that perspective, it looks like one blocks the other... You'll notice that on some of the closer ones here. Just keep that in mind. You'll still be able to move them and space them though.
