Somethin' 'bout a chicken dinner!

Yep, I went down to Foutz Motorsports today, just to see it and to meet Greg and say thanks for the Born in Baja dvd he sent me while I was in Iraq. Greg was as nice and cool as could be, great guy. They had an awesome framed pic of the R at Baja in the office. I must have come on the right day because Greg was wearing a t-shirt that said Raptor R on the front with some of the sponsors on the sleeve, pretty cool. We went outside and he looked my truck over and I told him about my very fortunate experiences with it so far. We bs'd a bit about the whole Raptor saga and then he said, "well let me show you something you probably didn't see when you pulled up" and showed me the "XT" parked around the side. This is infact the one in all the pics from SEMA...HOWEVER...if some of you don't know (I posted this a long time ago "over there"), this is NOT a true XT. This is just a stock Raptor but with 37"s (yes they fit, but with a little bit of rubbing in the front), KMC Enduro beadlocks (like the R), tailgate spare, Ford Racing light bar and graphics. These graphics will appear on the XT though. Notice it doesn't have a sliding rear window though......but does have that elusive 6.2L badge. As we speak, his team is in the shop fabricating all the control arms for the XT's, cool huh? He's big time involved with it.....as he should be considering he built the R and the XT is essentialy going to be a version of that. He told me the control arms would be ready in a couple of weeks and I could stop back by to take a look....so of course I will:) I can't promise but, hopefully I can snap some pics next time I go.

Very cool Matt! Once again you're the man with the plan. I see this as your just rewards for the good things you did for US :)

Keep in touch with Greg and let's see if we can't learn a LOT more about our Raptors and possibly get right to the source for any potential "trickle-down" of XT products to us (like control arms maybe?)

I'm sure his business will crank out some Raptor products if/when they have time. And you'll be there to volunteer to get them for free/discount which is why I now envy you

Keep us posted and remember to put SVToffroad on all your cool pics so some other board(s) can't borrow them without melting like the Wicked Witch of the West when she got wet.

Awesome connection!! Think Greg would allow some "shop tour" type pics? I hope some of the A arm pics show up here....
