Thanks a ton. With the suction from the fresh grease, trying to pull the axle out again was almost as bad as the first time. But I definitely wanted to do it the right way.Opposite end of where the cv shaft seats, there's an O ring that sits on the base of that spline. There's videos on YouTube showing that it can sometimes come off when replacing the passenger side.
bend over, i will show you.So I'm replacing the CV axles on my 2010 6.2. Finally get the passenger side off and new one in...and find this o-ring right underneath. It's about 1 3/8". Too big for the hub. Did it fall out of the UCA ball joint, the tie rod end, or somewhere else in the hub?
