When should the KO2 get replaced?

I dont have a tread measurement tool but i would estimate there is about 1/4 inch of tread left after driving about 28k miles.

You live in NJ, so I would suggest before this winter hits. I grew up in south Jersey so I know those nor'easters can be brutal.

thanks thats what i was thinking, the treads are looking a bit worn.

i am at 32k and would say i have an easy 10k miles left.

2 mild off road days.........5k mile tire rotations (including spare)

Been very happy with these tires.

I've had good luck running mine for around 20k miles, until they start getting pretty noisy (to my ears anyway), then putting on new ones and selling the old ones on CL for about half price.

That's real interesting. Odometer just past 20K, and my tires are noisy as hell. I've been rotating the tires at every oil change, and I expect that to bring down the noise a bit. However, didn't think I'd get half price on CL. Who's buying? Other truck owners or resale shops?

Guys that are lifting their f-150's. Spent all the money on car payments and lift kits. Used tires it is!

Replaced at 10k. The less the tread depth, the less the siping is able to do its job as the lugs are unable to open up. Lost traction on dry and definitely in wet conditions. Amazing difference with the new tires especially after getting accustomed to the degraded performance and traction.

Should be wear bars between the treads. Mileage will vary based on PSI, surfaces you drive on and how hard you are on tires when cornering and accelerating. I replace mine every two years right before winter even if I have a little bit left. Traction is more important to me than economy.

I had a sports car that I was only getting 8,000 miles out of a set of tires both from and back. Once I moved somewhere where I couldn’t drive as aggressively my mileage doubled.

Don’t know how long a set of KO2s will last. I’ve yanked them off my last 3 trucks to put a tire on that performs better for my environmental factors.
