So we picked up about 5 wheel catalogs last week and a few rounds of:
Me: "I like these"
Her: "those are ugly"
Me: "how about these"
Her: "eww no"
Her: "those are pretty"
Me: "No Chrome wheels!"
Me: "what about this one"
Her: "it's OK"

we have narrowed the wheel candidates down to a few.

I'm keeping the stock tires and will be at Mid perch soon. I never really trust the guy at the shop that says "they should fit" so I wanted to check with you guys. I dont really have full understanding of offset vs backspace etc.. even though I have read for the last hour on the topic.

These are the specs for my first choice, will I have any fit issues?

Stock Raptor wheels are 36mm offset.

Anything between 36mm and 0mm is safe.. Once you start running negative offset you *could* run into issues (rubbing, wheel bearing wear, etc)

On the extreme side -12mm is the farthest you would want to go for "light" offroading. You have to be top perch and will smack fenders on hard/large jumps..

Thanks Greg.
They come in a 10mm or -10mm, so I should be ok with the 10?
Will the change from 36mm to 10mm make them stick out more or less?

Also, anyone have any experiences good or bad with MKW wheels?

It will make them stick out a little more..

0mm offset is about flush with outer fender lip. -12mm like mine stick outside of fender by a good 1.5-2"

I am also looking at the MKW wheels, I like the 10mm offset better than a 0 offset. They only have one style available M81 and not a fan of those I have called MKW and asked if they were planing production on the M86 in a 6x135 bolt pattern but did not get a confirmation on production just a maybe in the future

When I plug a Stock Raptor into their configurator it offers me M80, 81 and 83. But not M82 which are the ones we like. But on the spec sheet M82 and M83 have the same specs. May have to find a local dealer to do a "fitting".

The salesman at MKW said they may have some different styles available in a 18 or 20 inch sizes. I didn't press the subject any further, only interested in 17" for off road

Me too. Look at the spec sheets on the models listed above.
