Completely right! I have considered them and still am. The 285s provide a lesser speed variation than the 35/12.5s though and from everything I've been reading here and elsewhere, the 35/12.5s also slightly rub at full lock on stock suspension which I'd like to try to avoid. Thus why I sought out anyone running either set up to get input and pictures if possible. Plenty of photos of the 35/12.5s but they're usually on Raptors with front springs or perches. I haven't committed myself or my money to one fitment yet and am open to ideas/suggestions - just like those suggestions backed up with pics and data.

The rubbing is only at full lock and it's very, very minor. If you're driving a 2019/2020 truck, you may not have any rubbing at depending on your tire choice and size. I'd recommend running the BFG K02 in a 35x12.50R20. But, there are some 35x11.50R20 options out there that will work as well if you're looking at a narrower tire.

If you're wanting to keep the wheels in the fender, the VR series wheels sit flush with the edge of the fender flare so the only part sticking out will be some tire sidewall.

This is the profile of a stock height 2019 with the VR-601 on a BFG KM3 in a 35x12.50R20. I would not go with the KM3 due to the side biters causing a potential rub issue, but you should be fine with the K02.

If you do have any rubbing, it require only minor trimming to plastic fender well liner on the front end. Roughly a 1" x 2" cut on either side. But again, we could eliminate this with a slightly narrower tire, say a 295/65R20 which would measure out to 35.1" tall and 11.8" wide. That tire would actually be slightly taller than stock.

Thanks Nick! Awesome info, sir. Yeah, it's funny... I don't remember asking for people's opinion on what THEY think looks good or not. I appreciate you coming through with some good data. I'm HEAVILY leaning in the 35/12.5R20 direction now. Like the look the best and from everything I've been reading in my research, the 2020s have very minor if any rub at all. Thanks!

20's look great on a Raptor, but that's just a matter of opinion. I have them on my 19 and like it. Some of the owners that experience rub need to make sure that they have a quality alignment. The factory caster spec has about a 2 degree latitude to keep it in spec. You can increase caster some to push the tire forward and minimize rub. I'm on Eibach springs, 20x10 wheels with a 37" tire and have minimal rubbing for everyday driving.

Thanks for the feedback Matt! I have been thinkin about doing springs but I will be really close to the top of the garage door as it is and I'd hate to park her outside. I'll take some measurements but if I can get away with no rub on stock suspension with 20"s I'll be an even happier Raptor owner. Thanks again!

When I had my house built I had 8’ garage doors put in just for that reason. FYI, with perch collars on the front and stock tires it’s under the 6’8” clearance to park in a parking deck:)

Would installing the Eibach front springs ($225)help with minor rub issues? Not like its a traditional lift but more of a leveling mod which I think looks better than without.

Yeah, not an option for me unless I do some demo and some reconstruction. So, that's another reason I want to keep the suspension as stock as possible. Based on what you said though, it sounds like if I just level it; I should be fine. Thanks again for your insight!
