I would like use some vinyl to fill in the L on the 6.2L badge to match the SVT side vents that I did. What is the easiest way to do this cleanly.

I would remove the badge, add some vinyl on the backside, some fresh 3m double sided tape and you are in business.

What is the best way to remove the badge. Is it only held on by 3 m tape.

Just square off the badge with masking tape at the edges before you remove it that way you can be sure you are putting it back in the right spot.

Take it off, lay it flat on a table and fill it in with a thin paint. The thin paint will spread out to make sure everything is covered. Plus if it's really thin it should transfer the texture pretty well.
