I live 2 hours south of louisburg ford just called them and got the 50 over invoice deal only. Just not sure if I should cancel the order I made a month ago to save 3500. I don't want to get pushed to the bottom of the list

Honestly 3500 is pretty significant, I doubt you will be delayed significantly, but I think I would go with the savings.

Take the 50 over invoice. The $3500 you save will come in handy down the road. IMO

I know it seems like a no brainer but I own my own company and this will be a company truck, so it's basically for tax purposes so I need to at least have a vin number by dec 31st. I'm already worried that I won't make it with my original order so pushing it back even more worries me

I am not your client advisor (disclaimer). The vehicle needs to be placed in service by December 31, or the end of your FY.

Example, The truck was placed in service on January 10, 2013 the date it was ready and available to perform the function for which it was bought is when the depreciation starts.

Don't let the tax tale wag the dog... If you save $3500 and are in the 30% tax bracket that equates to $5,000 of pretax earnings. That does not even include FICA and MCARE at another 6.2% + 1.45%, assuming you are not over the FICA limit of around $110K.

Save the $3,500 IMO
