I am in the process of ordering my American Racing Headers, with no cats, and Hennesey Intake. At this point im stuck as to what programmer to get. I see a lot of discussion about the Five Star, and Hennesey but a not a comparison thus far. I wanted to see which you guys feel is the better tune that appears to have good R&D behind it. I have a 2011 SCrew with 6.2L

There are alot of people that have got rid of there Hennesey tune and intake to get something better. I would go with 5star for both the intake and the tune. The next option i would go with JDM with their tune and upgraded air raid intake. Hennesey hurried to be first and alot of people bought there stuff but being first doesn't mean its the best.

Good to know. So you feel the 5 star tune is the way to go then. In regards to Intake which do you feel is the best. The 5 star as well? How about the American Racing Headers?

I have 5 star tune and I'm waiting for Mike to release his intake. As for the headers I don't think you can go wrong with kooks AR or stainless works. I personally will probably go with stainless works cuz they are the only one with true dual x-pipe.

I also just purchased the X3 5star tune and I have it paired with an AFE Stage II CAI that I had before I got the tune. The AFE alone was making my truck run like shit and when I spoke with Mike at 5star they tweaked the tune to make it run with my AFE and I must say "IT IS AMAZING". My truck has FINALLY come to life. It is a whole new BEAST. The shifts are smooooth at hard acceleration but with a slight firmness and with every shift the truck just keeps placing you further and further into your seat. The gears are held in there proper place and none of this hunting around business. Now this is what the Raptor was ment to feel like. I am extremely impressed with this tune and would highly recommend 5Star to anyone.

Thanks Mike.:waytogo:

Which ever direction you go be sure the tuner knows all you engine mods. Most important that you will be running catless. You will likely have to run O2 sims to prevent the check engine light from coming on.
