Allows you to program the truck to perform different features, check diagnostics, clear DTC codes, etc.
There is some useful stuff for someone that doesnt want to do anything crazy like: Lincoln Mirror Mode (where it folds the mirrors on lock, and unfolds on unlock), showing temperatures above your gauges on the info clusters, and on and on.
Yeah, it goes into the ODB Port and then USBs into your laptop. There are bluetooth ones as well, but I hate those and prefer the actual connection. As usual Alpha, you’ve been very helpful! Really appreciate all your responses. Wife’s car has the auto fold on lock feature and would be worth under $30 bucks just to do that! Now my ignorant question, do you plug it in and hook it up to a laptop? Are there pretty good instructions that come with the module?
Dont jinx me lol. Gonna try it on the work truck first. But hoping being the price point is a bit higher, maybe more stable? Hope!I’m curious the see how that Bluetooth model works for you. Sadly, I’ve never had good luck with them... drops connection too often. And you don’t want it to drop at that precise moment when you’re updating files!
