Allows you to program the truck to perform different features, check diagnostics, clear DTC codes, etc.

There is some useful stuff for someone that doesnt want to do anything crazy like: Lincoln Mirror Mode (where it folds the mirrors on lock, and unfolds on unlock), showing temperatures above your gauges on the info clusters, and on and on.

As usual Alpha, you’ve been very helpful! Really appreciate all your responses. Wife’s car has the auto fold on lock feature and would be worth under $30 bucks just to do that! Now my ignorant question, do you plug it in and hook it up to a laptop? Are there pretty good instructions that come with the module?

Yeah, it goes into the ODB Port and then USBs into your laptop. There are bluetooth ones as well, but I hate those and prefer the actual connection.

There are not really any "instructions" that come with the reader itself, but there are a lot of helpful resources if you search the forums here (using the search function for Forscan) as well as plenty of "wikis" on the internet that cant help steer you in the right direction as far as programmable features as well as the most common/sought after improvements.

I’m curious the see how that Bluetooth model works for you. Sadly, I’ve never had good luck with them... drops connection too often. And you don’t want it to drop at that precise moment when you’re updating files!

Dont jinx me lol. Gonna try it on the work truck first. But hoping being the price point is a bit higher, maybe more stable? Hope!

While on topic..
If you have a programmer, and edit other stuff in Forscan. Does one overwrite the other? Like start stop.

Like everytime you reprogram with tuner, you have to redo Forscan settings?
