Kickin it in Canada!
Well based on the fact that I know two r8 v10s that haven’t made it past 120k.

I’m on an r8 forum as well naturally... and the maintenance is outrageous

Two V10 motors not making it past 120k doesn't mean they all wont tho. I'm also on R8 forums, and yeah man supercars aren't cheap to maintain. Gotta pay to play with those cars

You damn right they aren't cheap to maintain lol. I only drive the thing maybe 3 times a month. To keep the possibiity of it breaking very low. I may even sell mine next summer if things go in my direction with a few new positions. I may have to upppgrraddeee..

Picked up a Honda Accord for a cheap commuter. Whilst they were detailing it my wife ordered a 20 model GMC Acadia Denali as her runabout... That’ll be a plush vehicle and a sensible one each. Garage complete for now.

Accords are great cars- between my wife & I have had a few over the years. Stick?

You can’t go wrong with an Accord for a daily driver. I’m on my 4th one which is a 2018 2.0t Sport with a 6sp manual.7C80E5CD-FB8A-42E0-B224-242A35D76E35.jpeg

We’ve put about 1,000 miles on it so far and it’s superb. I’m resisting the temptation of doing a Hondata tune and exhaust. The Raptor has given me a sickness that makes me want to screw with everything [emoji23]

Damn only 3 times a month!? I guess I can understand that, my Raptor kinda gets neglected in the summer cause all I drive is the Audi haha. Upgrade to???

I only drive it three times a month because I typically drive it on fridays to work or tuesdays to taco tuesdays in NOVA. If its bad weather, I wont take it out to help minimize any issues.

The upgrade is F12 Berlinetta or Lambo Aventador. I could possibly TT the r8 but not without about 10k in maintenance first to ensure ZERO issues with the tranny, engine, oil supply.

I think the Berlinetta is possibly the prettiest car ever made!

Thanks man! Its a real toss up... The Aventador is just beautifully wide and the F12 is stunning to stare at... It will be a hard choice.

Trade it & get a GTR or vette

I drive my Z06 all the time for dumb stuff to keep the "useless" errand running city/around town mileage off of the Raptor or wife's car. If its not raining out & I don't need to bring my son I'm driving my vette - groceries, picking up the drycleaning, pharmacy & back etc. Pretty much any time I need to go A to B when the weather is decent April - Nov & I'm by myself (or w/ my dog) I'm driving the Z06 & typically getting on it hard......one day this summer I got up early on a Friday for a long weekend took the vette to gym, then picked up friend in RI went to gillette stadium for HPDE then drove it immediately after up to NH w/ my friend in his '03 Marauder (supercharged ;-)) ran it a couple times down the strip @ Epping - got yelled @ for no helmet running sub 14 1/4 times (obvi lol) parked it in lot waited for my buddy to finish up then drove it back down south to MA all in same day. WISHING I broke something so I could just buy some better gear & upgrade it....but yeah...not I haven't broken anything but an endlink try as I might!!!

As much as like the idea/look/interior/engine of that R8 I think you pretty much ended my love affair w/ it w/ that statement right there. I own a sports car to DRIVE it like a ***** ape - & if it breaks I like to @ least have the option of attempting a fix on my own.
