Don't install long tube headers. Takes too long to install, for the little power you gain, it isn't worth the price.

I totally agree, too late for me though. Love the sound but not worth the money what so ever.

That's disappointing to hear. My SW LT headers go on tomorrow, along with the lightning exhaust. My reasoning is that the exhaust, for what it costs, adds very little HP/TQ for the money. At least with the headers and cats you're getting a measurable gain.

I put on a Flowmaster super 10 and used the factory tailpipes with the res removed. Liked it at first, but after a while its just loud and has no tone. Also the Redneck glasspack cackle really got annoying. Now Ive got a 3'' single in/out magnaflow muffler with a turndown tip on it dumped before the rear axle and I reakky like the sound it has at all RPM ranges

i hate that i took me 3 try's to get it the way i want. i too am very picky about the sound of my exhaust. i went thru 4 setups on my last truck and not i am on my 3rd on this truck. i still want headers but probably wont get them due to price plu PITA install for little gains.

i hate how my MBRP turn-down rattles the change in my rear cup holders. but at the same time I love it.

Wow, this is the first time I've seen hate for the LTs. I was really hoping to get some when I got the $$$. I'm pretty sure I've seen some dyno charts on here with 30+ rwhp and tq gains, that's pretty significant imo. I guess I'll have to look up the instructions to see how hard they are to install.

I payed a bit over 300 for my e-cutout installed and it served its noise purpose! Closed for long trips OPEN ALL OTHER TIMES!

I'm pretty sure I've seen some dyno charts on here with 30+ rwhp and tq gains, that's pretty significant imo. I guess I'll have to look up the instructions to see how hard they are to install.

Just throwing on LTs is not going get you 30+ HP
You would need to retune the PCM for them.
And add a CAI system and exhaust as well then you will see 30+rwhp

If the Tuner is good.

All adding up to big bucks for little gain.

That's why I said screw it and threw on the Whipple and left the stock exhaust system for a few grand more.

Yeah that's what I meant, with the tune. Usually LTs are my favorite mod for the sound and performance. Also with a S/C you're probably looking at 50 hp gains with the LTs all of which is very significant imo
