Damn. I bet there were more than a few choice words when that happened. Sorry man.
Sure was!! It was very stupid to even attempt that without proper footwear. The real bitch is it put a huge damper on training for my mountain bike race season.

Probably should have gone under the section “What did your Raptor do to you today” youch after seeing that I’ll probably wear work boots in the garage for a while.

Hope I can help prevent this from happening to anyone else. I wear steel toe boots a work and apparently have become complacent at home.

1st oil change. I hate the drips from oil that was sitting on top of the skid plate after it was drained. Do I need to remove all of the skid plates to solve my OCD?

Got her some new combat boots: Kumho Road Venture.
The KO2's were down to 4/32" at 30k miles.

Road noise: pretty quiet with slight hum for now. Read that they get louder when under 30% left, makes sense.
Street handling: Felt a little squirrelly during a turn over some street bumps so have to try different air pressure. They're 38 and 38.
Freeway: Had to make a fast swerve around a knuckle head who suddenly merged onto the fast lane doing 40MPH, handled like a champ.
Ride: You know how good new rubber feels. Can barely feel the tread at <5MPH (mall crawl). Doesn't bother me though.
Looks: Like it means business

Can't wait to try them out in the desert soon.

Made mine earn its keep this past weekend. Pulls better than my Gen 1 did. Not my dedicated tow vehicle but wanted to see what she had in her and it actually did very well. No, I would not hook it up to a big triple axle trailer, but for this type application it performed really well.
