Spent the last couple days doing a 30k. My raptor is a 17’ but figured 30k and 8 years needed to change out the fluids that haven’t been changed. I also threw in a set of plugs and boots. Everything was spec Motorcraft.

-6 plugs (not bad for 15k on them)

-Front diff, suctioned out about a quart and replaced. Front diff fluid was dark brown.

-Replaced transfer case oil, had already been replaced 15k ago, wasn’t bright red but didn’t look too bad.

-Rear diff fluid looked light brown, way better shape than the front diff; little surprised on that. Replaced rear diff cover with Ford performance cover. (Used arp bolts and lube locker). Like everyone said hardest part was cleaning up the surface. Thought the gears looked pretty good, but I have no idea what’s not good except chewed up teeth.

Tomorrow dropping the trans pan and replacing filter and fluid. Shout out to @FordTechOne messaging me back for my trans fluid level. 17’ with ABC stick, needs to be within C @ 206-215 degrees. Bought high temp BBQ gloves so I don’t end up as a burn patient for my final fluid check. Figured I should type tonight in case I’m burnt to hell.
What fluids did you use for the transfer case and diffs?

when I bought my truck, it didn't have an engine cover at all. With the vented hood, I didn't like the idea of having water sit on top of the intake when it rains (if that's even a concern at all), so I bought the 19+ cover to tidy the engine bay and hopefully shroud the engine from water.

Real data, thank you for that information!
yeah coolant temp and oil temp remained the same when doin normal driving, didnt test it goin balls to the wall but i was def expecting some of a difference other than cooler air in the intake (or rather the sensor not absorbing the heat)
