How old was your battery, I am contemplating changing mine before a road trip to Coloarado for a holiday trip.Replaced the battery of questionable age with a fresh Motorcraft one so I don't risk having to change it at 10 below zero.
If I had to guess, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the orginal battery. It was Motorcraft but it seemed very generic. The only Markings that were not regulatory were the FoMoCo logo. It just seemed very bland and what I would expect from a battery that was put in on the assembly line, the new one was plastered with the ford oval, "Tested Tough AGM", model number, and cranking amp information. What I would expect from one sitting in a parts store. How old was your battery, I am contemplating changing mine before a road trip to Coloarado for a holiday trip.
I put in a Motorcraft BAGM-94RH7-800. Mine was a little cheaper than that from our local dealership. Thanks, wanted to confirm if the part number is ODP-AGM94RH7L4, looks like Napa has 20% off for 267 after tax.
Might start looking at a new one myself. It'll be five years coming up soon. Just so happens I found the same part# on Rock Auto for $181 (includes the core).I put in a Motorcraft BAGM-94RH7-800. Mine was a little cheaper than that from our local dealership.
