Just ordered front/rear OEM shocks from RockAuto. I was close to pulling the trigger on a Fox Factory 3.0 setup. But, I hardly ever go offroad so I just couldn't justify the extra cash. The current set on the truck have 65k on them and have never been rebuilt (probably). I figured it's time. I can rebuild the take-offs and have them on the shelf. Truck has been babied (I think) and the old ones don't have a scratch on them.

Now to dive into the (search) rabbit hole of rear leaf springs..... and tires. ugh.
Have not regretted doing +2 HDs (tow a little). If you are not adding weight go +2 SD. I think people underestimate the value of simplicity and keeping OE front travel.

New set of 35x12.50/20 BFG K02's on the way. Looked at all the other "rugged" tread tires and just couldn't decide. So I went with ol' faithful. I have Ridge Crapplers now and not impressed (they are old but still about 50% tread remaining).

Left it home with the wife and took her gen3 to work the last two days to help save miles. Sad part is, after I get back in the gen 2 I think there's something wrong with the suspension cuz it rides rougher. But my gen 2 has a heated steering wheel, lol:cool:
So I get to compare the two frequently, which I have many opinions on.
