The shim is cast with a built-in depression on the highest (thickest?) edge, and flat on the other side. Interesting.. I bet the reason it's cast like that is to not run out of threads, so that it should be placed facing up.I think I’m good. Here’s both buckets and the bolts are not touching as far as I can tell, but alarming close.

My son had a 01 Civic I bought him years ago. He liked it so much he jumped a guard rail and landed in a ladies 2 car garage. He was car #3. He was drinking and driving of course.i dropped mine off at the body shop. when our camper blew over last march, it damaged the truck a bit. finally got around to getting it in. new hitch, passenger bedside, backup camera, and a few other parts. they say 2 weeks. lets see. would have been nice to have in the snow storm today though. instead im drifting snow and slush in my crappy 01 civic
