What are all the problems with 13's ?

Besides the door latch issue, I think i have a lifter bleeding down. On cold start up I get a tapping noise for about 3 sec then gone till it sits for a while.

My truck does the tapping noise, dealer service manager told be it was all the oil being pumped to the top of the motor and that it was completely normal, i mean i guess it makes sense but it sure is annoying.. i wouldn't stress about it, sounds like a little clicking and then turns off once your engine settles down to idling rpms?

My truck goes in Tuesday to have the latch replaced. I am going to have them look into the noise and go from there.

I think the best thing for everyone would be to just take a deep breath and try to trade for a 2010.

I had this exact same problem the other day. Only has happened once and I can't get it to do it again. Just a very loud tapping noise for about 3 seconds on first start up. My friend was in the garage and was like wtf was that?

as for the other problems I've had with my '13

250 miles - Rear O2 sensor goes bad
300 miles - Roof seal pops up (they forgot a rivet from the factory)
350 miles - 3rd brake light has water in it, left rear has condensation

What a beautiful start

I noticed when I close my doors the sunroof will pop up, not sure if it's just the seal or the whole glass? any fixes to this? Does not leak as far as i've noticed.

300 miles

- Driver side shoulder belt adjustment latch broken, adjustment latch just hangs and the seat belt slides freely up and down.

- Driver side rear door latch pops when opening

- Progressively getting worse front end clunk, truck seems very unstable when hitting bumps at 40-50mph on the highway. Back end wants to kick out and it feels like a bad bump steer issue.

- Vibration through entire truck when stopped at idle, erratic idle.

- Yesterday, when started with auto start, automatic defrost on high speed would not switch off when putting key into ignition. seems like an isolated incident.

sick to my stomach that a brand new 50k truck drives and has more problems then my 01 lariat ever had.

Funny how two of the only reasons I would think to buy a 13 over a 12 is the HID's and the MFT and both are having issues. BTW does that door latch issue plague the SCREWS's as well? My 12 seems like the doors bang around a bit on the rough stuff.

I have a screw, and the door latch was replaced on Tuesday. So far, no issues with it.

my gas mileage has been really bad. only getting about 11 around town.
