To show my girlfriend what my 2012 Raptor would look like. She's never seen one up close just a few we passed by on the road. I step out of the car and a salesman is waiting outside for some customers and walks up to me asking, "Can I help you?"

I say, "Nah, I'm good. Just showing my girlfriend my new car. The Raptor."

Salesman: "Really? You have one?"

Me: "No, I placed an order with a dealer in California. Spoke with your sales manager and wouldn't budge on the price so I got mine for $500 over invoice."

Salesman: Blank stare on his face. Turns around and walks back inside without a word.

Not sure what he was doing but it seems that I pissed him off. Probably to yell at his boss?

Anyways, thought this was a weird/funny story to share!

I love messing with dealership salesmen. Its their job to sell vehicles. Ford only has 15 different vehicles. You think they would know their stuff. After all it is their job.
One of my friends and I would go down to ford to look at different trucks. She was getting one for graduation. Its amazing how we knew more about the trucks than they do. Everytime.

I completely agree! I just wish it was a different d-bag salesman that was there when I went to test drive a few months back. Every time my dad asked him a question he would say, "I'll have to check on that." Then I'd budge in and tell him the answer. He didn't even bother to ask for our information not even a formal greeting.

He just texted on his phone the whole time even during the test drive. I wasn't even sure if he was a salesman...

Then at the end of the test drive he asked if we were interested in buying one today. My dad asked how much and the guy told us $2k over MSRP. My dad laughed and told us to get in the car.

Back when I was 16 or 17 me and a different girl went to test drive an RX-8. I had my class ring on. He thought we were married. We were walking out to the lot with the guy and passed by a mazda cx-9 (the suv) and I asked if they were pretty good since my mom was interested in them. He asked "why are you guys expecting kids soon?" We were like "Uh, no." I drove and he was asking if I was in the military and all this crazy stuff. We almost got back and he asked "Does the misses want to drive?" She laughed and said "no". She didn't even have here drivers license yet. We got back and left laughing so hard still to this day. I look younger than I am. But somehow when I was 16 I looked 20something.

It really is a shame that there are so few good car salesmen out there. I have encountered a FEW really good ones, but they are few and far between and usually work only at high-end dealerships.

the guy that sold us my raptor, I have to say, was an AMAZING salesman. Knew his stuff for sure. He was only like 25 and had over 8 really high end awards on display in the showroom.

I absolutely love that.

About a year ago in April when we all found out that Raptor was coming in a SuperCrew, I went to the dealer and asked them if they heard/found any information supporting that fact and the Sales Consultant flat out told me that I was "Pipedreaming".

I then told him that "You've lost a future sale. You question my information and are that certain of something you know nothing about just to ATTEMPT to make a sale today."

I then went back after they had received their first SuperCrew and asked them what they would sell me one for and they told me sticker. I told them that Randy could do $3k under and they told me "I had no clue what I was talking about!".

I then told them they were "******" in any future business with me after I had purchased from them in the past for treating me like a MORON!. Once Randy directed me to the dealer in El Paso and I purchased my new rig at INVOICE, I drove it straight back to them and had the New Car Manager come out to take a look.

I just looked at him, showed him the purchase agreement and said: "Now who's the MORON? - Have a GREAT DAY!" and drove off.

That was a great day!

I feel pretty fortunate to have the Ford dealership I have only a mile from my house as they were very honest, stuck to the deal even after it took 4 months and gave me 4000 off MSRP.
