I got it installed and it does boost the signal. It won't turn a zero signal to good signal, but it definitely makes a difference.
I used an adhesive metal magnetic disk to mount the antenna outside. Inside I mounted the booster under the passenger seat and inside antenna on the bottom right of the center console.
I was able to route the wire down the windshield and through the existing hole in the firewall next to the steering column.
