N-Fab make 4 different bars that fit the bill. They make them for straight or curved bars with or without the top protection bar.

I've included some pictures below:

Multi-Mount Open Top, Straight - $149

Multi-Mount Open Top, Radius - $199

The first three bars feature Multi-Mount so that you can mix and match various lights bars, cubes, or any type of surface mount light. The 4th bar can only mount a 30" straight LED bar.

The straight bar mounts can mount up to a 30" light on its own. We have a way to make it fit a 40" straight light bar on its own.

The radius bars can mount up to a 40" curved bar.

All mounts are available in either gloss black or textured black. Please let me know if you have any additional questions and we can get you set up!

Can you fit the old school round KC lights on either of the top 2 bars? (and/or the newer LED version.)

THANKS Nick, for posting these pics!

I'm very interested in one of the first two bars. But I've just sent an email to N-FAB asking them if they'll make these bars with the brackets welded to the top of the crossbars so we can mount our lights underneath the crossbar keeping them (hopefully) out of the camera's vision.

Perhaps we could even mount a cube light at the ends of the bars if those 2 locations prove to be out of the camera's vision.

I've also given them a link to this thread and told them that you were the one who posted their products here and I told them I want to buy the lightbar from you.

Let's see what they say about making a different version for us camera-crazy Raptor owners. This could be a great lightbar and the price, so far, seems to be right.

Thanks again Nick!

Yeah, I asked n-fab about camera clearance twice before I bought. Get pictures from the side before you commit.

Yes you can! With the multi-mount setup, a variety of options are popular. This is a great solution if you have existing KC lights you'd like to transfer to your new truck.

If you need some new lights, we're a dealer for KC as well and would be happy to put a package together for you.

I'm happy to help. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do on my end to help facilitate or if N-Fab would like me to contact them as well. Thanks!

Understood but all these pictures/products show the lights being mounted on top of the crossbar. I want to know if/how much the camera's vision will be blocked if the lights are mounted under the crossbar.

What did you end up buying Smurf-meister? Got pics?

@WhatExit

I think that would present some challenges

if you hang lights underneath, I’m not sure you’d have the ability to adjust fully, based on the bar and bumper contour and positioning.

Though... I wonder if you could mount the bar upside down, from the bumper protrusions? it wouldn’t be positioned optimally for sure. You’re also blocking the intercooler or obstructing the license plate and the latter was a no-go for me.

if you look at the side picture in my thread, and if you were to order the bar without a top bar, you could cut some plate steel to create a “cantilever” mount for the lights, moving them closer to the grill and obstructing far less of the camera. IIRC, that bar was around $220 or so? Figure about another $100 in material and fab.

If you look at the side picture in my thread and then the camera view, you can see about how much front vision you’ll lose without the top bar and you will need to use your imagination on what the light obstructs.

Is there anyone on planet earth that will take a picture of the screen to show what the forward looking camera, and 360 camera sees when you install these things?

In search of a better light bar (for camera-equipped trucks)

So, I never heard from N-FAB in response to my email through their website. I figured maybe they were affected by the hurricane so I called them today. I was told no issues - they were able to stay open - so that's good.

The guy I talked to said they've not had any negative feedback on their lightbar for the Raptor / F-150. I explained that there's not a problem or issue with their light bar it's just that the light bar with an LED light bar mounted on it blocks the bottom portion of the front camera display. He seemed to have no clue about it. Just said they've not had any complaints with their light bars.

I asked him if they do customs and he said no.

That was it. No interest in understanding the challenge or the opportunity to make a better light bar for trucks with forward facing cameras. And no interest in making a custom light bar.

By the way, I did find out that you have to cut through the plastic panel(s) of the truck to install their light bar. He said it attaches to the frame and there's no hole drilling required. I assume their light bar mounts up to existing bolts but I don't know. Perhaps someone who knows about N-FAB's light bar can tell us?

I continue to look for a better LED light bar mounting solution. I think it's out there just need to figure it out and maybe buy a bar like this as a starting point and modify it. <thinking>
