Waterless cleaning?

So I need some ideas on how to clean my truck. I’m stuck on a training base due to Covid, we can not leave at all. I have been here since the beginning of November and won’t be leaving till the last day of March. I have a Velocity Blue truck and right now it looks like it fell out a hobo’s ass. There isn’t a car wash or even a water hose connection either. So I’m limited to something I can spray on and wipe off. My worries are grinding the dirty into my paint and making it worse. Any and all recommendations are appreciated.

I used Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine to clean the winter ***** off. It works well - spray on liberal amounts and wipe off. You gotta have a ton of MF towels on hand.

I did it a couple times so can't say if it puts scratches in the clear.

If you have a lot of spare time, just sponge bath it with soap and water in a small bucket or use water bottles, do a panel at a time, I've done that in my garage before, when I didn't want to bring a hose in there when it was freezing outside. You can wax the ******** out of it afterwards, so it is easier to clean.

If you don't have access to water and your Raptor is as nasty as you say leave it be. I only use the waterless wash and wax when my Raptor is basically clean. If it was a cheby I would say just get a stick and scrape the dirt off.

1. I don’t recommend a waterless wash when your truck is very dirty. You need a medium to help separate the dirt from the paint. Otherwise you risk scratching the paint a bit. The bucket and water idea is more work but less likely to hurt your finish.

2. Be safe bro. These COVID lock downs are a real PITA. Your sacrifice is appreciated.

3. So,,,, how exactly do you know what a Hobo’s Ass looks like? Normally I’d say you should just keep that to yourself but since you’re in a sharing mood.

I’d use both water & buckets in a garage, personally....or just leave Dirty for time being

I agree with the above comment to not use a waterless wash if the truck is dirty. For mild dirtiness, or quick washes after driving around for a couple of days, I use Shine Supply Eco Wash.

I put it in a sprayer bottle and wash the truck that way, but as someone else mentioned, you need a good many microfiber towels.

I’m OCD when it comes to keeping my vehicles clean, but as already mentioned, leave yours alone until you have access to not only a hose, but a power washer and a foam cannon.

If I were you, I’d start researching/shopping for all the detailing products you’ll need to make it look perfect, assuming you’re into detailing your truck.

Leaving it dirty, will do less damage to it, then cleaning it improperly... Think of dirt like sand paper to your paint.... Definitely take it to a car wash where you can spray it down with high pressure before cleaning it, when you are able. DO NOT use washless products on it, in this condition, and I really do not recommend them anyway, unless you are garaging your car and it never gets really dusty. They have their purpose and they are cool, but again....... Think of dirt like sand paper to your paint......
