Never heard back either. Ended up finding a Raptor on my own. My initial contact was maybe 2-3 weeks ago. Seemed like potentially a good deal if he was able to get one, but nothing ever came out of it after my first and only phone call with them.
Don, he just told me that his guys tried to find what you were looking for but were unable to do so. I guess you were very specific in what you wanted and when they couldn't find one, they let it go.
I will say this for everyone: these guys own several Ford dealerships. If they don't have what you want specifically, they have to try to dealer trade. That's proving to be really difficult as inventory has gotten really thin and many dealers don't want to give up their truck.
Let me be clear--my buddy is trying his best to have his guys find you a truck for invoice. If you can find exactly what you want, and what they can find isn't worth the difference in price, you're free to buy whatever you want from wherever you can find it. I'm simply trying to help connect guys for a good deal if it can be made. If the stars don't align, they don't align. Ford isn't producing anymore Raptors in the gen 2, and won't have the gen 3 until late 2021 or even late 2022 they're being told. To that, dealers are being protective of their trucks. He can't force a dealer to trade. If they can't find exactly what you want, they don't sell you a truck and their effort isn't recouped. He's fine having guys try, but don't come in here and be a jerk just because you couldn't get a deal done. He's also told me several guys have called, he's tried them back and they don't answer and their VM is full. You can't screen unknown numbers and ignore his calls or the calls from his guys and expect to get a deal done.
I feel like all of this is common sense. If he can help you (which he's done successfully 10 or so times now) that's great. If he can't, that's ok. It's not like I've asked you guys to paypal him a deposit for them to do the leg work. Give the guy a break!
