Vinyl taillight tinting

Anyone tired to tint their taillights with vinyl tint? I'm having a very hard time doing it with the lights being inset. Looked for a video but no such luck.

Thought about that also, but how did you secure them while pulling the vinyl over them.

Well it was a pain in the rear to do, but that's what I ended up doing too. They turn out decent!
