Well, I ordered a pre cut matte black hood wrap from bmcextremecustoms and totaly f'ed up that install myself. It was pre cut! How hard could it be? 200.00 down the drain.

Then I took it to a professional. In and out in less than an hour. Looks awesome and all I did was supervise.

Two days later there was this cat.............................................

Here is the wrap before Mr. Kitty got a hold of it. I have ordered and received a " Raptor SVT " decal that I am going to cover the scratched area with. The problem is the decal is not 3m quality. So I'm waiting to get it copied by my vinyl guy with some 3m 1080. Should look pretty similar to what Ford has on there hood decal. I'm going with a Gloss black and red SVT .

I haven't done a wrap, but I do vinyl applications. Patience and a heatgun are your friends. For those bubbles that won't come out with the heat gun, sewing needle, poke the bubble, air has an escape and then take the heat gun gently to it.

I wrapped my Civic Si with 3D Di-NOC before, It holds up very well for the last 2-3 years. However, I think I will go with plastic dip on the Raptor. First, it is easier to do it myself. Second, it is cheaper. I applied it to my Mugen Spoiler and it looks great. Just another alternative to vinyl wrap.

I will keep you all posted on my progress. I am ordering the film and prep stuff tomorrow.

Menerso good luck! I had mine done a lil over a week ago. It took my guy about 14hrs to do with pretty much no break! I swear he was a machine. He took all the lights, door handles, emblems, hood and fender vents off and reinstalled them. I ordered new emblems that I painted so I did have to worry about how to stick them back on!
