VHF Radio installation ideas

Like Rap, I mounted mine in the armrest, but mine is mounted on the front of the armrest, rather than the side. The mic fits through the gap in the lid even closed, and I ran mine into the stereo and a PA/ Siren speaker in the front of the truck for if Im outside observing and need to monitor. Works perfect for all that....its the best solution for minimal impact on cab clutter.

Using the center console until I can get by and see NOSBUSA for any trick he can do. This is so far where I am..... its a one piece mil-spec radio so you can not remote the face plat, but I would like to.... I hav come up aith remote mic and remote speaker...:yawn:

Icom F5021 not really many aftermarket parts for it.... My thought wass Ideally design a overhead to replace the stupid sunglass holder move the lights down and make a custom mount for it to be overhead..... Makes running all the wires easier too.....
