no open is definitely louder but they do it no justice, I have to get the 17 which has the stock exhaust and hear the difference but opened and closed is night and day trust me. just cant get a sound bite from an iphone.

Can you buy just the valve? I have a replacement muffler I am happy with, but it might be nice to crank up the sound every once and a while.

I have seen them from other companies where you put them inline, Velocity you would have to buy that whole xpipe looking situation which I assume is the bulk of the price but here is what your looking for I think.
