Summary — If you find oil pooled on this bolt you likely have the aforementioned TSB ‘hairline crack and/or oil separator issues. …And all ‘outlier or ‘nerdy forum members will be hazed as a Sasquatch.

There is no TSB for valve cover cracks.

Correct, there isn't one for "cracks" but yet there is this, which the OP is probably referring to. Maybe you could explain why Ford covers replacing both valve covers in this tsb:

That’s the TSB for excessive oil consumption. The PCV system is integrated into the valve covers, so the TSB has the dealer replace them with the updated part numbers to resolve the concern.
