I own a 2010 (I'm selling it today.), and I had a stereo guy who was going to bypass the system on my nav screen and make it so my system would play movies while driving. *Does this make sense?

So I'm taking delivery of my 2017G2 (Avalanche) on Monday. Will it be possible to hack the system to play movies on the screen? While driving? How would that even work now that cd players have gone away? Any way to Bluetooth the same content I can get on my iPhone screen to the navy screen?
on oem systems you need the nav-tv piece or lockpick. for the 13 and 14 year trucks you need the nav-tv. only aftermarket systems utilize the ebrake connection. most oem use gps or speedo to lock you out of the features. with ford doing away with the dvd player in 13 and 14 trucks, you could only use the av in the center console. nothing in the aftermarket world yet for the new ones that i have heard of. but will be waiting for answers

let me give yall some help. as of recently i purchased 6 6.5in subs (subs) not mid bass drivers. they use less airspace than a 12in sub an you can run a ported box. on a TERMLAB spl metering setup 2 12's were 135 DB an the 6.5's were 138.6DB's. due to the ported box the bass is deep an tight an sounds night an day better. i was skeptical at first to but they really play. just my .02!! i can get pics if needed.

What amp/heafunit are you running?

Can someone post a photo of the back wall of a SuperCrew with the seats folded down? I'm trying to get an idea of how much real estate there is back there for amps/processors/power distribution. TIA!

Only the passenger side folds down. You have to know how to release the drivers side rear.

Just be forewarned, not as much room behind the seat as it appears. There's just enough nooks, crannies, bolts coming up through the floor that it doesn't allow a box to fit back there correctly. Now if you go custom box or that Kicker VSS system (that I was also told wouldn't work with trucks with the 3.5 and auto start stop for whatever reason), is a different story. I tried having a sub installed today and they didn't have any luck with the 15+ F150 prefab box due to the bolts coming up from the floor. Maybe this installer isn't as good as they had been in the past so I'm going to try a different installer and see what they say, I might just have to settle for a box under the rear seat.

Yea that's good to know - I'm planning to install this http://www.jlaudio.com/product/54216.103634.2096.23176.106316/Ford_F-150_SuperCrew_'09-Up and just remove the sony amp/sub setup all together
