Hi all
My Shelby Baja Raptor is blowing the 15amp fuse for Upfitter 1. Two 10” rigid e series lights are connect directly to it. I tested the amps and it is hovering right around 14.5amps for the few seconds I tested it for. Aux 2 has the same lights attached to it and is at 12.5amps. I don’t know much about wiring and electricity. What could be causing a small increase in draw? I’ll be going Tuesday to get it looked at but have been trying to collect as much info as I can before I have to bring it in.

here, on frf
connect each light individually to the battery to verify that they both work. make sure to put a fuse inline. had an issue redently with wiring being backwards inside the light on a cube which caused the persons light to blow the fuse everytime it was switched on

My aux 2 and aux 3 also keeps going out. It doesn't have nearly that kind of draw so not sure what's going on. The aux switches seem to be unreliable (no surprise). Probably will switch over to a switch pros again. Sdhq has a mount that goes over the outfitter switches.

Not sure what’s going on. I put another new fuse in this morning and so far it hasn’t blown. I didn’t check the fuse I put in yesterday it’s possible it might have been defective. Time will tell. As I stated before it’s drawing around 14amps maybe there is a short somewhere that’s causing intermittent problems. All the wires are covered with plastic tubing and taped really well. If it keeps happening I’ll take it to ford and let them deal with it.

Had same issue you need to use a relay switch. I actually used a smaller relay and couldn't figure it out until I stepped up to a 16amp relay now works great.

not good to be over 80 percent of load or amp draw in english. Easiest fix is wire a relay under hood and hook lights to it powered by the battery. The use the aux switches to switch the relay on. Relays are cheap and look online or stereo shops. Also wire length affects amp draw due to voltage drop. You can over come this also buy upsizing the wire size.
