Update on my 2012 order

Just wanted to give y'all my latest update info. My dealership called me at 9:00pm last night to inform me that my 2012 Tux Black w/all options will NOT be built until January. He said the Ford rep came in to notify them of the "hold up". I just thought you would like to know? I am a bit disappointed, but thanks to all of you and the latest info from Randy etc., I am not too surprised. Oh well, pictures will have to suffice. I had to change my site name due to a similar "TreeDog" issue, K9RESQ is the tag on my truck anyway.

Had a VM from my dealer a couple days ago saying that they are having issues at the factory with a number of the options I ordered so I should give him a call. Will post what I learn after I've had a chance to talk to him. As much as I hate to say it, I'm thinking January is probably realistic.

Ditto. They are "allotment holding" orders as well as "material holds". Ford is telling my dealer that they didn't sell any in 2011 so they are on hold for new orders. Funny, though, they sold 6, I saw 3, test drove one. Hmmmmm. not sure what to think about this.

I have not ordered yet. Have to get through tax season first which is a painful time for me. By then the holds will be gone though

Just got of the phone with my dealer...he said likely January or later but that he'll let me know as soon as he hears anything else from Ford. They can put orders in but the only available options are moon roof, bed step and bed extender.

You'd think when they opened the order banks and someone has paid 50k for a truck you would figure they would want to serve the good customers. But hey lets just open those order banks and not have shit for materials for the trucks! Good idea actually..haha

they had said its more of a QC thing with the new options. make stipped down "stock" orders first, make sure everything is handy dandy, then make the "sold" trucks with all the goodies. so... would you rather wait a lil longer for a more finished product? or have them ship em out and let you find the kinks on your $50k truck?

i say this also as if there was a real shortage on these things, why did my truck get built 9-22 with no problems? why is Big Blues getting built 10-20 with no issue? someone else is getting their built tommorow.

i know its frustrating, i went thru it in april with the NAV and that, got a truck that was almost what i wanted, and got lucky and was able to get the truck i REALLY wanted just last week! first order i put in for a Raptor was on 4-21-11 so i know the wait lol
