I also tried three different LINEX dealers here in Ohio and all three told me they are unable to do the fender wells said takes special equipment to do tight areas like that and they don't have it. would really like to get them done not only for looks and rust but to help with stone dings

It doesn't take special equipment. I watched them do mine, same gun was used for the bed and the wells.

I suspect they don't want to do the wells because of the taping time. To do it right takes about 2 hours per well for taping.

It does look great though, I spent $150 total for two wells with the premium.

My local line x didn't want to do my wheel wells said it was to hard. Called another line x place they told me it wasn't worth it and.they.don't do.it. called a third and.they.said yes. They recommend a cheaper rubber type material. So it sounds like to me these places don't know what they are talking about.

So is the solvent based no good? I'm going to called him back and see what they use.

The Line-X corporate headquarters is in Huntsville, AL and that's where I got my work done. They coated my wheel wells no questions asked and were glad to do it. On their recommendation I didn't go with the premium overcoat on the wheel wells, just on the bed.

I had the exact same done at Line-X of Tulsa in OK. Just a tip. If you're getting your bed sprayed you might as well get the wheel wells done. I ended up paying a bit more since I didn't have the wheel wells done until sometime after I had my bed sprayed. The cost was due to having to paper off and tape the areas to be sprayed more than once. It's just easier and cheaper to have everything done at the same time.

2 hours extra taping???? no way! some of these other line-x guys need to get off their asses, and call a franchise that does these all the time! Im sorry you guys are getting the run around on getting wheel wells done. this is one of the simpliest mods a linex shop can do! I wouldnt undercoat the whole truck with line-X but wheel wells are very easy. I agree about not premiuming the wheel wells. we usually dont. we usually dont texture them much either. it leaves them looking nice and slick. almost like paint. very easy to clean.

Seems like LINE X is not very consistent across the US? My South Carolina dealer does a TON of them and encouraged me to go with premium? Honestly I couldnt be happier with the job they did and the appearance, durability and and over all quality of product. Never had LineX before now but I am NOW a FAN! FANTASTIC product and value! WORTH EVERY PENNY.:peace:
