That's typical, should wire brush the rear end and paint it with tremclad black rust paint, will look nice, the exhaust, idk, not much you can do other than wrap it with header cloth.

Honestly i think this is where id like to undercoat my rig. I hate to look at that rust like that.

From what I read before this is normal for the whole F-150 line and some of those heavy driveline components. Supposedly that light patina coating will protect the metal. I’m not saying I like it and first thing I would do is hit the rear with rust neutralizer and then a couple of deep coats of an epoxy paint. Ford used to use heavier coatings. You can hit the exhaust with hi temp exhaust paint or header paint. Otherwise just leave that pipe as is.

Mine has no rust. My guess is your truck was on a hauler that was on a salted road at some point and was covered in the salt spray. Bummer

Heres mine a 19 with 34k miles on it… just rinsed it off after hellacious snow storm.
