Looking to revive this thread ...

Planning to install my Street Guardian Dash Cam to an AUX Switch. Also planning to later add a Radar Detector to an AUX Switch. Can these wire's easily be pulled back through the firewall? Or would I need to pull interior wire through the firewall to the connectors in the engine bay?

Second question ~ I'm not familiar with AUX Switches. Do they stay "ON" when the truck is powered off, or do they shut off with the truck?

Thanks y'all!

Thanks cubie! I should have updated my post ... Found the PDF manual online which answered most of my questions.

My plan is to run a 12v --> 5v step down from AUX switch to Dashcam with a 5amp inline fuse (to be on the safe side)

Should work :) I will also do the same when installing a radar detector ~ Although not sure if they need the step down. I'll have to look in to that.

Switches

you can change the fuses so that 2 of the 6 switches are powered on when the truck is turned off.

don't know about passing wires back through the firewall for interior use, but I have to believe it can be done.

AUX power is in different place in new Raptor

Others may have discovered this already, but the AUX wires are set up differently in the new raptor. The power AUX wires are under the hood on the left hand side (facing the front of the truck). You can wire directly to these for lighting and other external connections. If you want power and connection in the cab (radar detector, camera, etc), then you will need to connect the left side wires under the hood to the ones immediately to the right - - the colors obviously match up. Then, you connect your interior connection to the wires inside the knock out panel on the passenger side below the glove box. In the original model, the power was in the knock out panel and the pass through had to be connected for lights, etc. - not the case in the new raptor. Much easier and the wires are much easier (and longer). I posted some of this in a thread on wiring a detector, but thought it might be helpful here as people are looking for AUX wiring help..... here are a couple pics of the AUX wires under the hood and in the knock out....(note that these pics have my radar detector connection to AUX 6 done, so I had to connect the under the hood AUX wires for the pass through).

Not having my truck or seeing this yet are these switched powered 12V, or a ground switch for a powered relay?

Individually fused? or on a main bus? if so what are the fused at?

Thanks
