I am in the process of tinting my windows and have come into a snag with my windshield/ brow. I've been told that the only way to remove the rear view mirror involves a risk to break/crack the windshield. (Appearently these mirrors are more sturdy..makes sense)
Is there no tint without the risk?
What have you guys experienced or been told?

Tint shop told me the same thing. They don't remove the mirrors in f150's since they're a high risk one apparently. They just tinted around it. I had my window brow go to the bottom of the factory speckled area around the mirror, so they just cut around the mirror, and tucked the tint under the little ledge around the mount. Can't even see the tiny slit they had to cut to slide the tint over the mirror.

Get a standard metal scrip (one end straight, one end bend 90°) stick the bend end in to the hole provided and pop it off
